5-Star Excellence Rewarded for Ravindra Beach Resort Spa

On Wednesday 30 April 2014, Ravindra Beach Resort & Spa was officially recognized as a ‘5-Star Resort’ after having been assessed and found to be conforming to requirement of Thailand Tourism Standard for the year 2014 – 2016, certified by Thailand Hotel Standard Foundation and Department of Tourism, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Thailand.

Thailand’s Department of Tourism started its standard certification program in 2007 as a means of ensuring hotels and resorts meet established international star-rated standards. Certification covers a two-year period and is given only to establishments that provide the quality of services which will contribute to higher quality standard of tourism in Thailand.
To be certified as a 5-Star Resort, Ravindra Beach Resort & Spa proved to have contributed significantly the growth and development of the Thai tourism industry and increased Thailand’s competitive potential on the international stage. By adopting internationally-recognized practices and ensuring that high standards are being maintained and upheld, Ravindra Beach Resort & Spa has shown it can compete with world-class resorts on an equal footing.
Mr. Thanet Supornsahasrungsri Group Executive Director of Sunshine Hotels and Resorts expressed his sincere thanks to the Ministry of Tourism for providing the award, and acknowledged that the success of the resort has been made possible through the hard work, dedication and commitment of employees to ensure that the services rendered towards all guests and patrons was at the highest level.
