Vayant upgrades OneSearch to give airlines and travel sellers more flexibility and control

Vayant Travel Technologies, a world leader in airfare search innovation, announced the launch of extensions to OneSearch, its core airfare pricing and shopping system for airlines and travel sellers.

The extensions bring dynamic pricing capabilities and optimized calendar shopping to third generation OneSearch, along with other features for all kinds of online travel sellers to offer richer, more dynamic shopping experiences.

With OneSearch dynamic pricing, airlines and travel sellers can price flight options based on their own business rules. Using a web-based interface, they can manage and apply their business rules in real time across a wide range of criteria including specific markets, carriers, fare basis codes (FBC), cabins, reservation booking designators (RBD), price components, optional services and more.

Vayant has also enriched its calendar shopping capabilities. The +/-3 days calendar shopping function now returns a list of results for the selected date as opposed to a single cheapest result. Fare buckets can also be processed on the calendar level. A new response format is introduced to display separately results for outbound and return flights.

Further improvements in the core include a price diversity preference, additional NDC API developments, more provisions for defining Fare Buckets, booking class filters in the search request and more.

Eric Dumas, Chief Executive Officer of Vayant Travel Technologies, said: “We continually refine and improve OneSearch to keep airlines and travel sellers a step ahead in today’s fast-moving travel market. With the extensions to the third generation OneSearch, our customers gain even more flexibility and control, enabling them to offer richer shopping experiences.”

Eric Dumas will be one of the speakers at OpenJaw Technology’s t-Retailing Summit, taking place at the K-Club just outside Dublin on 29th May 2014. Eric will be joining a panel discussing innovation in airline retailing.   He will also be running a round table on the impact of metasearch on transaction based shopping at OpenJaw’s closed user conference, also at the K Club, on the 28th May.
