NEW EXPERIENCES, NEW BUSINESS AND NEW RELATIONSHIPS CONFIRM ILTM AMERICAS SUCCESS


ILTM Americas 2014, the exclusive business hub for buyers and designers of bespoke luxury travel experiences from across North, South and Central America, closed its third edition at The Fairmont Mayakoba in Riviera Maya, Mexico yesterday, announcing that over 13,000 one-to-one business appointments had taken place during the three day event.
Alison Gilmore, Senior Exhibition Director, ILTM Portfolio comments: “We have been delighted to host 229 of the very best of the buyers from the Americas region at the wonderful Fairmont Mayakoba over the last three days.  The resort is the perfect location to build business and business contacts for our exclusive buyers and the suppliers they have met from all four corners of the world.”
ILTM Americas welcomed 229 exhibitors representing the most luxurious products and destinations around the world to meet with 229 exclusively invited buyers from the Americas.  The business appointments are arranged on a one-to-one basis, mutually matching both buyer and exhibitor requests to meet prior to the event.
Karen Nakai, Director of Business and Luxury Sales, Park Hyatt New York sums up this year’s exhibitor experience: “ILTM Americas has been great, with lots of opportunities to build new relationships. I spent one on one time with new partners that we can work with moving forward and I’m looking forward to working with them to bring more luxury travel experiences to travellers from around the world.”
Zeynep Peker Prakatur, Director of Business Development, Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Group adds: “I have travelled around the world and attended many shows, but I am an ILTM fan. Sometimes you need to live luxury in order to sell luxury and I have met with amazing buyers who I am not able to see in their countries who have shown lots of interest”.
Pouya Jalali, Director of Sales, International. The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo and The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto says: “It’s been a great show, extremely productive and a great way to make new contacts and to penetrate a new market that I’ve never been exposed to before.”

Patricia Carranza- Travel Consultant, Turismo Exmar says: “This is my first time at ILTM Americas, I have been in Brazil and Cannes and I think that this is really good. I have seen many new things to offer our clients. The length of appointments is perfect because you have the time to have a good meeting and in the gaps you can also meet some others.”
