Future is bright for Ljubljana airports: Air Serbia doubles capacity, Turkish Airlines increases flights

Aerodrom Ljubljana recorded an increase in traffic in 2014 and is expecting growth in 2015 as well. In comparison with the last year total passenger numbers were up 3, 1% and cargo tonnage was up 7, 2%. Air Serbia has already doubled its capacity.
In March Turkish Airlines will add flights to Istanbul and Swiss International Airlines will provide daily flights to Zurich. Data published on anna.aero shows Aerodrom Ljubljana has, besides Zagreb, achieved the highest traffic increase in the region, even higher than Venice.
Traffic at Ljubljana Airport is expected to increase in 2015 as well. Passenger numbers will be higher due to additional flights of some airlines. To mark the anniversary of its service to Ljubljana, Air Serbia, the Serbian national airline, has doubled its capacity in December. It now serves two daily flights between Ljubljana and Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, which is a hub for numerous excellent connections to many destinations throughout Europe and other destinations from Etihad Airways’ network of flights all over the globe.
In March 2015 Turkish Airlines will also increase a number of its weekly fights to Istanbul from 7 to 10. In March Swiss International Airlines will be returning to Ljubljana Airport, providing daily flights to Zurich.
