Star Cruises has successfully completed the SuperStar Virgo’s trendsetting “Golden Sea Route” maiden voyage with delightful feedback from customers of the fully-booked cruise. With very limited 21 sailings from now to 30 November, guests can explore the cultural and natural wonders of China and Japan from the dynamic city of Shanghai to the bustling metropolitan cities of Tokyo and Osaka, as well as the majestic Mount Fuji and idyllic Kagoshima. With fly cruise packages, Star Cruises’ new itinerary will attract more guests from around the region to China and Japan, providing them with greater travel choices and flexibility.
This first-of-a-kind 8-day/7-night voyage sets a new benchmark in Asian itineraries by meeting the global average where 80 percent of 25 million world cruisers take 7-night journeys. The unique “Golden Sea Route” experience outclasses regular air and land travel packages, allowing guests to visit multiple destinations without the hassle of several flights and land transportations, as well as the inconvenience of packing and unpacking from different hotels.

The “Golden Sea Route” experience incorporates Chinese and Japanese culture in its entertainment and enrichment programs as well as a variety of traditional arts and culture, fun performances and local delicacies. Programs for the whole family include traditional Japanese arts and crafts including ikebana flower arrangement classes, sushi making demonstrations, origami workshops and sumo suit parties. Guests can also indulge in Japanese wagyu beef cuisine offered in the ship’s various restaurants. All guests will be treated to complimentary local snacks such as takoyaki or octopus balls.
Star Cruises’ popular Junior Cruiser Programme returns this summer with a variety of activities and games for kids and teens, including the super fun cosplay party for the age of 2 to 12 years, a prince and princess party, kiddie chef classes, as well as dining etiquette and dance classes. Teens can have fun in tailor-made enrichment programmes, from DJ mixing and Hip-Hop classes, karaoke fun-time to RC Car Racing. Also on board are many more recreation facilities to enjoy including a kid’s activity centre, video game arcade, waterslide, golf, and basketball court.
