Organised by SWIFT for the global financial industry, Sibos will bring 8,000 financial services thought leaders  who represent financial institutions, multinational corporations, market infrastructures and technology partners. Sibos returns to Toronto after its first event at the MTCC in 2011. This year marks the event's highest attendance in the Americas on record, underlining the city's standing as a globally prominent financial services hub. With 250 conference sessions, 180 exhibitors and over 400 speakers, Sibos 2017 will focus on hot topics such as cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the impact of geopolitical and regulatory shifts, and data and identity. Satya Nadella, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Microsoft, will address attendees with a highly anticipated closing keynote.
Sibos will also feature 32 of the brightest Canadian FinTech startups, who will highlight their offerings to influential financial services decision makers.
"We're excited about returning to the MTCC after a very successful debut there in 2011," commented Sven Bossu, Head of Sibos, SWIFT. "Under the leadership of Barry Smith and his management team, the MTCC has firmly established itself as one of North America's finest convention and trade show centres. It's known for hosting some of the world's largest and most prestigious events, such as the G20 and G7 summits. We see it as the perfect venue as we bring financial services experts and leaders together in Toronto."
"We are honoured to see the return of Sibos to our facility," said Barry Smith, President & CEO at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. "Toronto's financial services sector is thriving and we look forward to welcoming global thought leaders who shape the future of this industry to our city."
