Trisha Dubignon won the prize of the "Face of the Year" at the Swahili Fashion Week in Tanzania. Trisha Dubignon was part of the Joëlle Fabre's Coral Models Seychelles participating in this year's Swahili Fashion Week in Tanzania from the 28 November to the 4 December. 
This was the 10th Anniversary of the Swahili Fashion Week and this year's show was held under the theme of "Discover What Makes Africa Beautiful".
Trisha Dubignon modelThe Seychelles delegation travelled to Tanzania with the assistance from Maryvonne Pool, the Seychelles Consul in Tanzania who has sponsored the delegation's accommodation requirements and has also put at the disposal of Coral Models Seychelles a minibus for the duration of their stay. 
Joëlle Fabre had said as she was preparing for this participation in Tanzania that she remained determined to open new frontiers with fashion as her base for the young Seychelloise and Models.
The Swahili Fashion Week is a fast growing platform for fashion and accessory designers from Swahili speaking countries and the African Continent to showcase their talent, market their creativity and network with clientele and the International Fashion Industry. This is all aimed at emphasising to the region that fashion is an income generating creative industry, meanwhile promoting a "Made on Africa" concept.
Madame Wheeler Mahama Kaba, the Director for Women, Gender and Development in the Bureau of the Chairperson of the African Union (AU) issued a message about this event saying that it was opening doors for young women of the continent.
"I salute the organisers and participants of the Swahili Fashion Week. Africa needs more than ever before to be united around our common heritage and culture as we look for opportunities to rewrite our narrative and position ourselves as global players in the fashion industry through empowering women and girls. Swahili Fashion Week features some of Africa best and brightest talent and will unleash growth and employment" Madame Wheeler Mahama Kaba said.
