The former Hotel Russell that is based on London’s Bloomsbury has been renamed Principal London and is ready to reopen its doors on 16th April.
The Grade II listed building was designed by Charles Fitzroy Doll was constricted in 1898 and the ornamental dining room on board the Titanic was also created by him. It is believed to be a replica of the hotel’s.
Many passengers on the ship also stayed at the hotel before they had set sail on the Titanic from Southampton.
Also, there is a bronze dragon in the hotel that is the twin of the one that had gone down on the Titanic ship. The restaurant of the hotel is known as ‘Neptune’ and it supports maritime connections.
This beautiful hotel possess as many as 334 rooms.
The Titanic Hotel Belfast is a £28 million 119-room hotel in the same buildings where the ship had been constructed more than 100 years ago.
Drawing rooms where the Titanic had been planned are currently the hotel bar. And, the building also contains the old Telephone Exchange that had received the very first alert about the ship crashing.
